The Book This book, Our Biblical Legacy on Parliament Hill, will be printed after this weekend. It is printed in time for the National Day of Prayer in Ottawa, which takes place on Saturday, June 11. Leading up to that day, on July 9 and 10, there will be teaching sessions on prayer and evangelism (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association), as well as a praise-and-worship session. Even though I am not affiliated with 4My Canada, this event will bring thousands of Canadians from across the country to Ottawa. They will be praying in the shadow of the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill on Saturday, July 11. Many of them will be hearing about the 25 Scripture verses in the Peace Tower for the first time. Often, when Christians from all across this country receive this book for the first time, I am called with expressions of thanksgiving because they now have proof that this nation was built on Christian foundations and principles. They often use this little book to pray for our politicians, using those Scriptures. This is a great opportunity for attendees to use this book to pray while 'on the Hill', and to take it back to their communities to show and tell others about our Christian roots. That is why I am asking for donations to print these books so they can be distributed free of charge to attendees. If you are a business owner, you can sponsor a black-and-white ad on the inside back cover for $100. Or, you can sponsor a colour ad on the outside back cover for $250. I need 2 more ads in both places by Friday, June 19. I am printing 5,000 copies, so there will be 5,000 pairs of eyes on your business. I had first planned to print 2,000 copies. We have reached that goal and have extended it to 5,000 copies in faith that the Lord will provide the necessary funds. It is projected that over 5,000 people will descend on Ottawa for this event. The Fundraiser Things have not changed much since our last report. I am $587 away from the target. Here is a visual reminder again. The Flyers And in God's timing, someone recently asked me to condense the information about the 25 Scripture verses into a 3-fold flyer. He is the music director of a world-class choir and would like to distribute copies of this information as an insert in the performance programs. He hopes to do this in every church and music hall where his choir performs. Here is the draft of the flyer: I had not thought of this method of disseminating the same information to another demographic. The Lord knows my limitations. With the myriad of health challenges He has sent my way, it is as if He has made me weak so His power will be on display. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me, 2 Corinthians 12:9. I am praying that churches will order hundreds of flyers for their congregants and visitors, and that this information will be an encouragement and blessing to many.
