    John A. Pearson

    He was an architect who rebuilt the Centre Block after it was destroyed by fire in 1916. He was responsible for engraving 25 Scripture verses in stone, glass, and brass in the Memorial Chamber of the Peace Tower.

    John R. Booth

    He was a lumber baron extraordinaire. His harvested lumber was used to build the Parliament Buildings. He attained the height of excellence when he oversaw the construction of the Library of Parliament.

    Thomas McKay

    He was a stonemason who built the first eight locks on the Rideau Canal, each ten feet tall. His home is now Rideau Hall, home of the Governor General.
